Ok, I don't know where my comment went. I just wrote a long one and it's gone.
In short, I fell asleep during the debate. I kept waking up to TRY to listen. But I just couldn't do it. I'd say I'm still on the Obama side of things, but I could be swayed. I doubt it because McCain just doesn't inspire me and there is something about him that disturbs me. I don't know what it is, I think he is a wonderful person. There is just something...
The real question is what did you think? This is YOUR blog.
There were no earth shattering announcements from either candidate - all in all I thought it was a draw. It will be interesting to see what happens at their next two debates. It would be nice to have candidates share their ideas on how to accomplish what they set out to do, instead of sniping at one another. I still don't have a real sense on where either candidate stands on any subject.
I agree, I think it was a draw...honestly, the issues in our country are changing so fast, I am impressed that boy men seem to have a handle on it all, even with the fast pace that things are happening...
I'm just glad that both seem to be better alternatives than what we have now. I like Obama though. He seems kind and genuine to me. McCain is definitely interesting and I know he loves the country also, I just worry that he would keep doing what we are doing now in a lot of areas.
I was born and raised in Maryland. I have lived in sunny Arizona for the past 22 years and have been married for 21. I have two beautiful children (most of the time anyway...) Shayne, 13 and Maya, 10. I graduated from ASU in 1998, then got my Master's Degree in Educational Technology in 2002. I have taught elementary students for the past 17 years. Currently I teach K-6 students in the computer lab and in the library.
Rick was born and raised in Vancover, Canada. He has lived in Arizona for 22 years also. He keeps busy with work during the day and us at night. We like going on trips around the state exploring and he still likes to get out and play golf when he can.
Shayne
Shayne is 13 years old. He is in seventh grade. He loves playing soccer.
Maya
Maya is 10 years old. She is in fourth grade at the school I work at. She likes swimming, drawing and writing.
