My parents were out for a visit on the weekend of Martin Luther King's birthday. They got here the Thursday night before and left the following Tuesday morning. We had a great time. The weather was beautiful, with each sunny day reaching the high 70s or low 80s, unseasonably warm even for us. Here are a few highlights. Regrettably, I didn't get any good shots of my parents during their visit. Next time I will make a better effort at that!
On Friday we rode Phoenix's new light rail! It was a lot of fun. We Arizonans are happy to finally have a mass transit system we can be proud of.
Another day we went to Tucson...
The San Xavier Del Bac Mission is absolutely beautiful. It is nicknamed the "White Dove of the Desert". They are restoring it, so I think that is why the top of the tower on the right is down right now.

Anyone else want 80 degree days? Come on down and see us! (Well, wait a few more weeks, it's cold again...not Michigan or Maryland cold, but cold for us.)
