Winter Trip North-February 2012

We took a few days in February 2012 and went up to Flagstaff, which is one of our favorite winter trips, and the only time we really see snow.  Here are some photos from Montezuma's Castle, which is an 800 year old Sinagua cliff dwelling, still in very good shape.

Here are some photos of Sunset Crater, the site of a huge volcanic eruption about 900 years ago.

Here are some photos of Walnut Canyon, a National Monument where there are ancient canyon dwellings.  It is quite a decent into the canyon with lots of steep stairs. After that, you can even climb inside many of the dwellings.
