Here in the Valley of the Sun, we have what is traditionally considered to be "fall", the falling of the leaves from deciduous trees, in January. The leaves usually fall for about a week and a half to two weeks during the beginning part of January, then, amazingly, the trees blossom by the end of the of the month. So the whole process, from the first leaves falling to the blossoms making their first appearance happens in about three weeks. The first photo was taken during the first few days of January and the second one was taken a few days ago. Considering the new leaves, this post could be more appropriately named "Happy Spring".

That is cool. It seems so crazy. Send me some money so I can get out of this snow and visit you...
leaves falling...I think we had that discussion 3 months ago! The kids wanted to know if Phoenix has ever gotten snow before...? (My guess was not since the record books were started...but a good question)
Two years ago at this time were able to schedule a visit and last year in January. It is nice to be there for awhile. We thought we wouldn't have enough days off to make it this year. Boy were we wrong, of course the airports haven't been open much and we probably wouldn't have gotten out anyway. It looks good though.
It's nice to see pictures that don't include snow! LOL. :) The rest of us are jealous!
That is funny, I took a pic in January of a tree with leaves falling and thought wow that one tree is having fall. I had no idea it was a AZ thing, just thought it was weird. Good to know.
