Wow,there are lots of guesses for both of those questions, but I am going to go with my gut. Mother Teresa is the ideal of pure love. Love unfleating and in the face of adversity. Love given from the corners of her heart that most of us have long since shut down. Those of us striving to be like Mother Teresa tend to give love like that in three areas of our lives; to our our children, to the Savior and for our pets. I am guessing that your family have suffered a loss this week? I am not sure if you actually wanted guesses..but non the less, I hope that you all are doing well...
Well, I have no idea but Jimmy would like to venture a guess. (I really hope that Tammy is wrong about the cat, btw.) Jimmy says that the cat must be becoming a mother. Now, I'm pretty sure that cat is very old. (And maybe even a male.) Not to mention that Mother Teresa wasn't a literal mother. So, hum, I'm going to guess that the cat did some type of sweet thing that made him seem like a saint since he has always been mean (if I remember correctly). One of these answers must be right as I've written any and all possibilities. Love you.
So I am hoping Tammy was wrong too about the suffering a loss thing... my first thought was that you are Mother Theresa for not doing something mean to the cat after he did something terrible? Will have eyes pealed for the answer! :)
I admit that I have a small bit of knowledge that may help. I know that you adopted a homeless, pathetic cat. That must be its picture. It is not quite as bad as you described but you probably cleaned it up for the picture. Mother Teresa cared for the downtrodden of society and that is what you are doing. I hope it doesn't mean that your cat is sick. I was thinking about making it a political comment about how you and Mother Teresa have actually done something to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. One other possibility is that you and the cat are going on a trip to India. OK, I give up.
I love your mother's sense of humor. I hope your trip to India is uneventful. Seriously, if what I'm taking from your mom's reply is accurate, what a kind gesture your family has made (and the cat doesn't look bad in my opinion, but I am also a lover of cats). Keep up the suspense for a few more days - I can't wait to see other replies.
It would take a love that makes Mother Teresa look like Ebeneezer Scrooge to risk the public ridicule that will arise from showing a photo of that cat. Am I getting warm?
I was born and raised in Maryland. I have lived in sunny Arizona for the past 22 years and have been married for 21. I have two beautiful children (most of the time anyway...) Shayne, 13 and Maya, 10. I graduated from ASU in 1998, then got my Master's Degree in Educational Technology in 2002. I have taught elementary students for the past 17 years. Currently I teach K-6 students in the computer lab and in the library.
Rick was born and raised in Vancover, Canada. He has lived in Arizona for 22 years also. He keeps busy with work during the day and us at night. We like going on trips around the state exploring and he still likes to get out and play golf when he can.
Shayne
Shayne is 13 years old. He is in seventh grade. He loves playing soccer.
Maya
Maya is 10 years old. She is in fourth grade at the school I work at. She likes swimming, drawing and writing.

from Dad
Because you have the unconditional love of mother Teresa, and have started a home for unloved cats.
